Cameron Tells Parliament He Protected U.K.’s

U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron said he protected Britain’s national interest by vetoing an EU- wide treaty to rescue the euro.

“I went to Brussels with one objective, to protect Britain’s national interest and that is what I did,” Cameron told lawmakers in the House of Commons in London today. “Satisfactory safeguards were not forthcoming so I vetoed the treaty.”
