10-year Italian government Bonds Rose

Italian bond yields climbed Monday as Moody's Investors Service warned that the ratings of European Union nations remain under pressure after last week's Brussels summit offered "few new measures" to address the sovereign debt crisis.

The yield on 10-year Italian government bonds rose 19 basis points on Monday to 6.43%, according to data from FactSet Research.

Italy and France will hold debt auctions later Monday, according to media reports. In other trading Monday, Spain saw its 10-year yield rise 3 basis points to 5.69%, while France's 10-year yield slipped 1 basis point to 3.26%. Bond prices move inversely to yields
